The first step of our 3-year project consisted of exploring services and approaches towards the integration of unemployed women into active economic life outside the home. The mapping exercise was carried out in 5 countries: Belgium, Iceland, Italy, Spain and Sweden.

The aims of the mapping exercise were to:

  • Identify needs - locally as well as transnationally - for future initiatives, cross-sector cooperation and competence development of professionals working with unemployed women

  • Identify good practices which might be transferable for the Pilot Action phase in order to try out new ideas leading to a better take-up of services

  • Encourage networking between different agencies at local level to contribute to a greater understanding of each other’s work and, potentially, promote cooperation in the Pilot Action phase

The research took place between November 2014 and June 2015 and for each country you will find 3 elements as a result of the mapping stage of this project:

- The Context

- The Mapping process

- The Good Practices identified during the mapping process
