Learning space

The first was the provision of a regular once-weekly Learning Space which took place over a 24-week period with 50 unemployed people between 25 and 56 years of age during weekly sessions with minimum 2 and maximum 8 participants.

The second was a pilot training session for facilitators and volunteers from an organisation called Co-Searching which focused on the competences of creating and holding a safe learning space and using coaching techniques like listening and asking powerful questions with learners.

Research: 3 interviews

Pilot training session
Belgium pilot projects

3 Pilot Actions were run in Belgium in the 18 month-period between October 2015 and March 2017:
The third was a piece of research – 3 interviews were carried out – with professionals working in the unemployment field around the issue of Job Coaching. Here we explored: how they work with their different target groups: the opportunities they feel they have to empower people: the competences involved and, therefore, the training needs. Apart from these questions, we explored reactions to the Empowerment Model and discussed if it could be useful for their work.
